They have completely run out of ideas, did anyone really miss the caveman?

The past few ads - the one with the talking plate and the guy on trial and the judge dismisses his case - holy sh*t...these are so bad, I don't understand how those are remotely comical.

I admit, I actually liked the "Ice T / Lemonade" ad, I got a chuckle out of that.....until it was played to death!

Did miss him? No.

I yearn for the days of late 1990s GEICO Direct ads "smaller bill", big cup of coffee, waitress wipes mayanasse on table, laughing dog, shopping cart chasing two guys in a car. All of these were actually FUNNY! WTF GEICO? Have you lost your funnybone!? Why recycle old crap?

BTW I watched the video, GARBAGE!

Geico's tagline should be "Spending your money on stupid commercials so we don't save you as much money as we could."

Saw an article online showing that they spend $1 billion on advertising a year. Wow, talk about a waste of money.

Now if the caveman hit his head on letters of "the end" while riding his horse. Now THAT would be entertaining!

^^ LOLLOL
(actually, Caveman would be more apt to be having the horse for dinner...Shocked )

This ad just kills off any possible goodwill - if any actually remained - toward the caveman series, which nobody here seems to have missed anyway.  These people do not know when to stop.   The attempts at humor usually fall flat and the ads - all of them - are grossly overplayed.  Surely by now Geico must have bought a vowel and found out that people find their ads generally horrendous.

And I mean "real people, not actors"  Big smile

Well, when GEICO finally hits rock-bottom, they can always merge their prior crap-fests:

1) Caveman flying w/ pig.
2) Caveman learns geography (aka: "Virginesee")
3) Caveman learns to change a FLAT TIRE.
4) Caveman pretends his arms are too short to pay the restaurant bill
5) Caveman plays Marco Polo in the pool (and gets the strainer clogged with hair fur)
6) Caveman rides "humpday" camel
7) The "rhetorical question campaign": Caveman could invent fire.  Oops (already been done!)
8) Caveman could give spelling lessons to Old MacDonald
9) Caveman rapes little Dora the Explorer, rips off her little beaner head, and then pisses down her rice & bean tube.

OK, maybe this list is getting to me...

The last decent one was IceT Lemonade commercial. The sumo wrestler ice skater was okay too. Once they get a decent idera though they play it to death. If I saw the Gecko walking around I would step on him.

I just saw a Geico commercial where a meteor was going to hit the Earth and this guy's suggestion on what to do was switch to Geico and everyone else seemed relieved by the suggestion.
