I guess since it's three days after Halloween that means we can start rewriting Jingle Bells for every conceivable product under the sun. Or, if you're Overstock, rewrite last year's song and take the key up a step.
Last year's This year's |

Who are the ad wizards who came up with this one?

I never minded "last year's". Has kind of a 40s thing to it, and the singer has a nice voice.
The second one, however, I do mind. I don't like when they have people who can't sing, attempting to.

They sing as good as the Best Buy "singers".

PLEASE, for the love of all that is good and holy, do NOT bring those tone-deaf assclowns back this year! |

I notice they changed the lyrics from last year's "Buy online / saves you time" to this year's "Buy online / with ease of mind".
What is the significance of that? I mean, it does save you time when you buy online, as opposed to shopping in stores. Are they saying it no longer saves you time? Then why would you shop at Overstock.com?
Or are they saying that since everyone is shopping online now, the time savings aren't a big deal, so now they have to point out advantages of shopping the big O, as opposed to other online retailers?
Maybe I'm overthinking this...

I think your second scenario is exactly it.
