Hope this title didn't confuse any of you. What I'm talking about is local commercials ripping off national commercials. Now, we've seen over the years parodies of many commercials, like "Head-On" and "..can you hear me now?" and those are annoying in their own self, but have you seen a local commercial that just couldn't come up with anything on their own?
Case in point, I was visiting my cousin over the weekend when this commercial came on. It was a local bank telling it's customers and potential ones that you can now bank with your iPhone. I'll let you watch it to see what you think, but the preview capture kind of gives it away. I was actually amazed it was online. The commercial isn't in bad quality at all, in fact they look like they spent alot of money to produce this: My cuz told me that the Lubbock area has the worse commercials he's seen in this state. He said "You remember what commercials in Dallas used to look in the 80's? Well the 80's never left Lubbock." I have to agree, I've seen some stinkers while visiting him. Anyone have any trends like this or just plain rip-offs you'd like to share? |

When I was living in Michigan we had an Appliance Store Chain that ripped off a Commercial for Chiffon Margerine (You cannot fool Mother Nature) but they went Belly-Up decades ago.
