Not only do they have four-minute commercials mid-point in the dramas they show, but they incessantly run commercials for the other channels owned by whomever (NBC Universal?), like USA and Bravo!

Anyway, I was watching Law & Order: CI the other night, and the constant commercials let us know that they are bringing new shows to the channel:  New Year's Eve day, they're running Season 1 of "Royal Pains" for the whole day, but on New Year's Day, they are running "The Unit" in a 72-hour marathon.  SEVENTY-TWO HOURS.  That's three freaking days of nothing but that show.

What is it with these marathons?  TV Land and others do it, too.  It's great if you like the particular show, but if you don't, you're screwed.  And they seem to love to do it on the holidays, especially.  (TBS runs "The Christmas Story" all day on Christmas every year, too.)  And I PAY for satellite TV!

The Unit was a good show too bad CBS canceled it.

But I digress this show doesn't belong on Sleuth it has nothing to do with detective work.
One good thing about TV-you could always turn it off

Before the "ED Pill" Commercial during a Kids Show Incident this was one of the reasons that made me wonder why was I shelling out my hard-earned cash for the "Privledge" of watching these extra channels. I'd go to watch one channel and all they showed was M*A*S*H. Another Channel Law & Order, a Third would show Three's Company, and so on. ALL STINKING DAY! Where's the Variety? Finally I gave up. (I don't need to say what I've done since!)LOL

I don't get the Sleuth channel, but it sounds like just another outlet for cookie-cutter reality stinkpot!

Think it was the AMC channel that showed American Lampoon's Christmas for weeks on end before Christmas. I like that movie but don't want to see it over & over.
Cartoon Network is showing a Looney Tunes marathon today which I won't gripe about, it's been years since they showed them.
TV Land has been plastering the screen with banners about the new upcoming season of High School ReunionDead.
