Ugh. I reserve a special place in commercial hell for ads that pander to baby boomers (Dennis Hopper, I'm looking at YOU).
Now, I completely understand that if I'm watching the evening news, with it's elderly demographic, I'm going to get plenty of prescription drug, retirement planning, and insurance ads. That's a given. It's just the ones that have that unmistakable baby boomer vibe (usually, as baby boomers themselves love to do, invoking 60's imagery) send me into a fit of rage every time I see them. The one that I really hate these days is the Just for Men "Touch of Gray" ad. If I hear that self-indulgent surfboard-toting septuagenarian say, "heeeey, don't trust anyone over 90!" again, I swear to god, I'm loading the rifle and heading to the belltower. Damn hippies. |

Nah - with all the drugs and drinking we did, it's fair to say we've pickled ourselves to last another 40 or more...

And being cranky and surly and telling those damn kids to lower their music.

A solid dick-punch directly to the tool who thought it quaint to split us all into nifty pigeon holes by naming generations. As in another thread, I say we give them their ss checks.
We stop paying into it tomorrow, and they can collect until it is drained. I'll fend for myself. |

I do not wish to pay into it but god forbid the gubmit allow such a thing.
We are but mere children who are unable to think for ourselves. Imagine if they never intervened with our lives......count our blessings ehh? |

Never in history has there been so many ads for cough Love Problems now that the Love Generation is getting old. Yet another ad for E.D. The new Mr. Ed.
Shut up and buy a crane.

I hate all those retirement ads that say they're for baby boomers.
My dad was born at the very end of the baby boom, and he's only 44. The older you make him feel the more I have to suffer, so kindly lay off, "Ahm FREE! To do wot ah WANT!" commercials.

No, I meant construction equipment.

And after death cremation is outta the question. With all the alcohol I've consumed I'd burn for another 40 at least! Nothing like being your own Eternal Flame!

I forget the exact numbers, but some say that within the next few decades or so, the average life expectancy (of people born within the next few decades) will increase to nearly 100 years. Holy sh*t!! That's a lotta crankiness the world's gonna hafta deal with.
