Something that has roots to "Rogers' Rangers" (incredible story; look them up, Kiddies!) - Early United States of A! NEW FINDINGS...
(for anyone 'South of the Border', this is an easy and educational 'Day Trip', or 'Daycation'! Especially for Madawee, CW, Moochie, LostBrains, Christine, and some of our other pals)
I SO love history - I'm already making plans for us.Big%20smile
What's YOUR history?!

'unintentional findings'

A little history

Found these email threads linked on my Penn State Sports board today, and thought you guys would enjoy. Simply hilarious.

Sample: "Unfortunately, we are unable to accept drawings as payment..."

Sample: "I intend to rectify the situation by wrapping my entire body in 18 rolls of super absorbent Thick-n-Thirsty paper towels, hosing down the apartment, then rolling around on the floor and rubbing myself up and down the walls. I will cover the more stubborn marks with Liquid Paper."
Hundreds of threads killed.

The ancient city of MIRADOR has been FOUND - this is simply AMAZING.

This was initially reported a few weeks ago, but news keeps on breaking about this find - the 'Cradle of Mayan Civilization' - and a city as large as Los Angeles.

The link is 7 wonderful minutes long - the findings are certainly going to be stupefying.

How about FOUR for today?

1.) For the lovely CIH Women who simply adore their expensive Silk clothing, yet must always remember that when they wear it, they're covering themselves in worm-spit.
Here's a site...

2.) For us 'history buffs'! THIS could be BIG, if it can be verified!

Vanished Persian army said found in desert

50,000 soldiers believed buried by a cataclysmic sandstorm in 525 B.C.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33791672/ns/technology_and_science-science?GT1=43001

3.) Simply lost for words - useful (but I'll skip the salmon)

4.) Down South in the wonderful Allentown-section of Buffalo, we've some very interesting people. 'BubbleMan' is one of them.

Cry Should you have a quiet moment...THINK about this.
     Totally 'earth shattering', I swear - I've been watching this VERY closely; haven't really been
     able to gather my thoughts to write on this, yet. In time, I know I will - somewhere.
     This seriously bothers me

     'History Lost'

     Ancient tribe becomes extinct as last member dies

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Boa's loss is a bleak reminder that we must not allow this to happen to the other tribes of the Andaman islands," Survival director Stephen Corry said in the statement. Andaman and Nicobar Islands authorities put at least five tribes in their list of vulnerable indigenous communities.
According to Corry's group, the surviving Great Andamanese depend largely on the Indian government for food and shelter and abuse of alcohol is rife.
(Pa's Perspective:
THIS LOST CULTURE WAS - get ready - ready? 65,000 YEARS OLD! THAT IS THIRTEEN TIMES OLDER THAN THE *ESTIMATED AGE* OF THE GREAT SPHINX, IN EGYPT!
IN FACT, THE *OLDEST KNOWN* ORGANIZED CULTURE WAS ONLY 5000 YEARS OLDER!
'Why, GEE, THANKS, INDIA! Ya friggin' bums kept 'em fed, drunk, and away from public view! Certainly we need not have learned anything, now did we?!
NOW- Seriously - 'Beyond the Sarcasm' (TO EVERYONE): What would YOU like to learn?!!! How can we learn? How can we preserve?
WE cannot let the 'roots of civilization' disappear before our very eyes.
DWolf ('AfgyBoy') is getting ready for some R&R - and he is planning on grabbing a new car, while he is home (I get to 'dry-store' it). He has really negotiated a great deal on a new, full-blown (and then some) 5.0 Mustang GT.
I tried to talk some sense into him (no chance); if he wants to spend that kind of money, then why not 'do it once/do it right'?
I swear - kids NEVER learn!
I'm ready to 'test-drive' this one (where I was pushing him, but he said he didn't like the finance options).
Now, mind you, 'Business Week' has the price wrong. Very wrong.
They actually start around $1.75M
