Last Sunday my wife and I were out driving around.
So, I see this little shop with a very old fashioned looking sign on it. One of those old white backlit hand painted typed signs.
However when I look at the sign more closely it is a picture of a tower computer and a monitor.
I thought to myself that I really thought the sign was going to say somthing like Electrolux on it. Because Electrolux is such an old brand, I'm not even sure it's even still around.
I know they used to make vacuum cleaners in the 1950's. There were a lot of those types of signs that said Electrolux on them.
So I turn to my wife and say, wow that sign looks so old I thought it said Electrolux on it.
Two days later I'm watching TV and this ad comes on with Kelly Rippa cooking in this ultra modern kitchen. So, boy am I surprised that this ad for this contemperary kitchen is none other than Electrolux.
That's just weird.

I went to Best Buy with a friend the other day, who needed a new DVD player. Sure enough, there was a HUGE Electrolux sign on the front doors.

Never too old to learn. I just looked it up...Electrolux owns Fridgidaire. I guess they decided to put their own name on it now.

My aunt used to call refrigerators "Frigidaires". Everyone else in my family called them "iceboxes".
One of my earliest sexual experiences was with an Electrolux. UN-REAL!!!!

My grandmother called it that. Funny that my mom didn't even though the fridge I grew up with was a Frigidaire.
Frigidaire is like Xerox. I'm pretty sure it was the first brand of refrigerator invented.
Funny that the word frigidaire is much more descriptive of what it does than refrigerator is.
I mean that's what it does, it creates frigid air.
If you put fresh produce in the refrigerator, then it's not being refrigerated because it was never frigerated in the first place.

I have a Best Buy literally three blocks from my house. I never noticed the Electrolux brand there before.
It's weird that I was thinking of Electrolux as an outdated brand just before they launch this huge reinvention campaign.
I haven't been to Best Buy in a couple of months though. Which is really hard to believe because I love looking at electronics, but I also like buying electronics when I see it, that costs money, so best to avoid the place.

Yea...wasn't that Electrolux your 'Prom Date'?
Is this your pic on 'Prom Night'? (before the prom, of course - we're all certain the Electrolux got the better half of your dress...)

In the Kelly Ripa commercial for Electrolux, she's firing off a list of things she will do that evening as the domestic goddess that she is.
Among them:
"Serve the gummi bears."
