I'll be returning to work tomorrow and one b***h that I'll hear is...wear a mask on the bus to stop Covid!
I already got my shots and wearing a mask won't help...much! Why does my public transit system insist we wear the mask to stop Covid-19? I think we have a new Black Plague! |

Way back in the 80s and 90s when I lived in San Francisco and had to take the bus to my job in downtown SF, I'd note how we'd be packed into the bus like sardines, and no one seated by a window would ever open one. This would be during the colder weather when people would be more prone to colds and flu. Those busses were Petri dishes with people sneezing and coughing their way to work. I think it might be a law in most places these days that masks must be worn on public transportation. I don't know if that includes cloth masks which they're saying nowadays are near useless. |

Any kind of mask is better than nothing.
And calling them "near useless" is an exaggeration. They aren't perfect, but they catch a significant percentage of exhalation and lessen the distance that what does get through travels. My personal opinion is that if everyone would just STFU, work together and stop throwing childish tantrums over it, we'd get through this thing sooner. We are a society of spoiled crybabies who've gotten too used to having our every whim catered to. |

Barely worth it, with the Omicron variant. But you do what you believe helps. And make sure you wear it outside (and in your car, too). Your cloth face mask isn't protecting you against the coronavirus variant omicron, health officials say. As common as cloth face masks have become, health experts say, they do little to prevent tiny virus particles from getting into your nose or mouth and aren't effective against the new variant. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2022/01/05/cloth-masks-not-effective-omicron-covid/9091574002/ |

As I said earlier, in comparing it with the climate change issue, there are wide ranging opinions being espoused, often times by experts with motives of their own.
IMO, looking at actual visual demonstrations gives a more accurate picture... And this one is just for fun.... ...but it effectively demonstrates the point. |

I consider myself a bipartisan...but I do hate it when I am on a crowded bus or someone sits next to me!
I only sit in the back as a silent protest on what is happening in this day and age...but that's another subject! |
