The Cherokee Nation has a gripe with Jeep/Fiat-Chrysler, er...uhm.. Stellantis or whatever the hell Chrysler calls themselves these days.  Why, pray tell?!  Well, it's because of the name Jeep Cherokee. A very famous nameplate, mind you.  The Cherokee Nation or this case a representative of said Nation found it insulting to have a car/SUV with their namesake. Look's like someone has the case of the Wokeness.  I can understand them skivvying on using dumbass cartoon mascots and derogatory names like Redskins, Braves, Indians, etc. Those examples literally mocks their culture. But this is different: Why bitch about this now?! Where was this guy and his comments 35 years ago when they (84-85 Jeep Cherokees) first came out? I don't think Jeep had malice towards the Cherokee Nation when they named them. To them it was just a name, probably.

The Native American community is plagued by poverty, drug-addiction, environmental contamination, unemployment, and now the COVID. I think there are more important issues for this Tribal Representative to seriously address rather than whining about an automobile nameplate of an SUV that has a notorious reliability rating that is on par with a Range Rover. Which is not good.  That tangent aside, do you really think Jeep's parent company Fiat-Chrysler-Stellantis is going to waste a sh*tload of time and money renaming said SUVs and replacing the name badges. The best thing they can do is go to court and settle this like civilized men.

Jeep should just call those vehicles The Jeep GC-200 or something.

I just hope it doesn't get to the point where European-Americans have to live on reservations...or Wyoming!

World has gone nuts. That's all I know. Dr. Seuss 'canceled', now the Jeep Cherokee. They will try and ban Tim McGraw's 'Indian Outlaw' from classic country stations before you know it.

"Cherokee people,
Cherokee tribe,
So proud to live
So proud to die!"
Back after a long absence...still hating those commercials. Go away Limu Emu and Doug!

Or ban Paul Revere and the Raiders' "Indian Reservation", where Tim McGraw borrows the chorus you typed.

Wisconsin has a rich Native American history. A lot of them live in poverty.  Call it lack of education or opportunity.  Somehow, the Indians are doing okay.

The casinos can even cancel the 'no smoking' rule from the state.  What a great place for an old alcoholic to hang out.

Disney+ pulling Dumbo, The Aristocats, others for children under 7 because they are racist.

Save those VHS tapes, I guess!

Pepe le Pew is now the victim of cancel-culture because of his shady past!

When will this insanity end?

So I guess Little Black Sambo won't be making a comeback anytime soon.

Some of you might remember 'Song of the South', a Disney live-action film from '46 with Uncle Remus and the Brer Rabbit. Now that film IMO is definitely racist, and has been for a long time, long before BLM and the cancel culture. There were even picket lines at theaters when it was released, and the film never saw a VHS release (except for occasional bootlegs).

But taking a beautiful elephant, Dumbo, and The Aristocats away from children under 7 is just weird. Especially since Dumbo JUST HAD A REMAKE IN 2019...

I don't think Jeep sales would have been as good if they were named Jeep Piscataways or Jeep Shinnecocks instead...

The actor who played Uncle Remus was actually the first black actor to win an Oscar. He couldn't attend in person to receive his award due to segregation laws.

I don't get removing Dumbo and the Aristocats from the children's section. At least they're not being removed entirely from Disney+.

I won't doubt The Three Caballeros will only be seen in the adult section of Disney+ since some will cry-out the Latino stereotypes,Jose Carioca smoking cigars, Panchito Pistoles shooting-off his revolvers, or Donald Duck getting horny as well as two wardrobe malformations!

Now...Monopoly wants to change all the Community Chest Cards!
