When I was a kid I had to listen to Pat Boone when I wasn't subjected other forms of musical torture, such as '101 Strings'...and people wonder why I turned out like I did.
After that, do you feel like playing "Rub-a-dub-dub' with Pat Boone in a bubbly sit-down?
Now, it seems like it took a lifetime to recover from the days of being on restriction and having to sit in the front room while my folks made funny faces at each other while listening to Pat Boone, who lulled them into a 'private session' which resulted in my brother.
Until a few hours ago, I was positive Pat Boone had already passed on, but no...watch this commercial and tell me if you think it is possible he might be related to Timothy Leary.

^^^Not everybody is qualified for the 'Door Greeter' position at Walmart, so some of the codgers my age have to find something else to do and I guess Pat Boone found singing 'Rub-a-dub-dub with Pat in the Tub' paid for his home care.
I actually tried to be a door greeter at Wallywold - they wouldn't hire me.

A bit early to drag that one out, innit?

My mom had one of those walk in tubs installed in the smaller of the two bathrooms in her house. Replaced the shower stall.

Paid over $17K for it and used it about two or three times.

Yea - they are not cheap and if you check out the reviews on ANY of them? Prone to all kinds of problems. I bet the underlying brand name on all of them is really 'YUGO'.

He just calls it a walk-in baptismal font and hopes nobody notices.

Make fun but Pat, like Dick Clark and the queen don't seem to age. He has to be over 70 now but looks pretty much like he did 10, 20 or 30 years ago.

Had to be over six years ago, as he died in 2012.

The last eight years of his life he was debilitated by a stroke he had in 2004 and had problems speaking.

I guess you could say, one side slightly drooping mouth aside, he looked pretty good.

Then it must have been before the stroke. Last decade I usually fall asleep on the couch before the ball drops.

I gotta say Pat Boone looks damn good for his age.  Every time I see the Fonz or Magnum (the hearththobs of my teenage years gone to seed) shilling for those reverse mortgages, it breaks my heart. And Pat has at least 10 years on them.

WinkAgreed...but I'm waiting to see when Amy Allan and Steve Di Schiavi from 'The Dead Files' find Dick Clark's moldy, unearthly self is haunting some poor rich-azz rapper's home & fambly. At the end, like everyone else, Amy will tell 'da homey if it beez safe ta stay or if Section 8 got someplace elz for da 'Tribe'...
