Just when I thought a commercial couldn't top the last commercial I found very annoying. This one needs to be pulled off TV NOW! I have to jump for the control and the mute button every time it comes on.

Histrionic overacting.  Yes, that's going to make me want to sign up for Esurance.  Angry

I miss sexy hot Erin Esurance. Guess she offended the Coastal Elite feminists and hipsters! And Erin has ended up in porn land.
I approve this message.

Actually, I miss the old days of animated Erin too. But they pulled the campaign due to internet fan art that portrayed her in X-rated content years ago. Now for insurance commercials we get (and not all esurance of course):

A screaming lady for Esurance
another lady that calls her car 'Brad' (Liberty Mutual)
yet another lady that drives 3/4ths of a car
the Gecko being annoying as always
Progressive Flo & Jamie...why are they still on the air?
A couple of people 'baby-talking' McGruff the Crime Dog...that's the equivalent of s**ting on a PSA campaign.
Mayhem's "BZZT! BZZT BZZT!" for Allstate
'Four weeks without the car...'
and that friggin BOX, yes that Progressive *BOX*!
No wonder it's difficult to find the right insurance company!
Back after a long absence...still hating those commercials. Go away Limu Emu and Doug!

Don't know why they cared. Just means their mascot clearly got them attention, and had quite a fanbase....a hardcore fanbase, you might say.

Just for the record, "Love Hurts" is Nazareth, not Elvin Bishop... You're thinking of "Fooled around and fell in love"

Her commercials were fun, light-hearted, and entertaining. Sure they cartoonish and unrealistic but that was part of the fun! Esurance commercials are now dull, stupid, and uninteresting.

"Love Hurts" was covered by Nazareth.  The Everly Brothers recorded it in 1965.

Elvin Bishop's "Fooled Around and Fell in Love"  (Fun Fact (for me anyway) I saw EB in concert in the 70s in San Bernardino.)

No, they discontinued her because a lot of people made her into porn, so much so that Esurance couldn't fight it.  I posted a link to the story somewhere here, but am too lazy to go look for it...

There is a concept known as Rule 34 which states if there is anything there is a porn version of it somewhere. This is especially true of beautiful women cartoon characters. Why Esurance was so concerned about something that had happened to probably thousands of other cartoon characters is beyond me.

Case in point? I believe even Dora the Explorer gets the porn treatment somewhere. On Dora, I can't tell you. NMCOT. However such unattractive characters as the women of the Simpsons and those one-eyed space cadet Matt Groening characters are out and about in the porn universe. Again, no thank you. They don't do it for me. Cartoon porn that's hot? Erin Esurance, Lara Croft, Jessica Wabbit and I'll go out on a limb with Raven/Lady Legasus. Back to that commercial, it sucks. Esurance, stop being pussified, bring back Erin. News flash even lesbian chic Flo is pornified!

Nazareth is from Scotland.  Wink

And they named the band after Nazareth, PA, not the biblical Nazareth.

And the Nazareth mentioned in the The Band's song The Weight ("Pulled into Nazareth...) is also about the town in PA.

And the Elton John song Levon was named after Bandmember Levon Helm.

And Elton John named one of his kids Levon.
