I never really fell into the Star Wars phenom...What is this, the eighth in the series?
A match made in the heavens! I don't need this fancy schmancy razor, I'll use my old Trac II until I die or can't find blades for it. |

From iSpot's description of the commercial:
When a man uses the Philips Norelco Star Wars Shaver in the morning, he looks in the mirror and imagines himself as a Rebel pilot blasting off in the Star Wars universe. I guess...if he's a retart. |

I've gone you one better than that... I just quit shaving altogether. Re: the Norelco Star Wars shaver as well as every other modern era Norelco electric shaver not mention Remington, Braun and whatever other brands are out there... they are cheaply made plastic garbage with weak motors that have very little torque and youre lucky if you get two or three years use out if them. Back in the good ol' 70's I got one of these for Christmas one year... Built like a Sherman tank. Ran for decades. Powerful motor that mowed down whiskers like a John Deere lawn tractor. I've still got it, and I'm not sure, but I think it still works. Might need servicing which I did take it in for once back in the 80's or 90's. No wonder they started making them so flimsy and cheap. Once you bought one of the old ones, you never needed another one!!! |

Not sure I've ever tried a retart before. Are they made differently than regular fruit or jam-filled tarts? |

This Star Wars merchandising crap is getting out of hand. Just the other day I saw an advertisement for Nissan promoting this Star Wars movie, and I think I saw one for Toys R Us promoting Star Wars toys. Now for a razor? Are ya kidding me!?

Glad to see a thread on this commercial - how many products can we shove into a single commercial? Not only that, but was that 'clean shaven hero' swinging a pink light saber?
Waiter? Check please - time to run away.

I saw one for Star Wars light saber condoms. (No I didn't, I'm just making that up.) Might lead to some interesting product names, however.
