Man, I can't believe no one has posted this crap. I hate the whole commercial. This company preys on poor idiots who aren't smart enough to see what a scam this is (just look at the people in the commercials!!)

The last guy is so annoying as he tries to be "hip" and use the phrase "killed it". That just annoys the Censored out of me!! "Oasis...They killed it man! They killed it!!" Disapprove What a moron! Funny note; apparently there are alot of people out there who think he says "They killed a man". Check you tube if you're curious.

Anyway, the other annoying thing is the spokesman. He looks fine, and is dressed fine, but he can't pronounce words properly. Especially words with L in them. "struggling to pay your biwws", "in as littwe as 24 hours". He just said doLLars correctly, why can't he pronounce the L's correctly in other words. Sounds like an Ebonics thing.

Problem is...if you are going to be hired as a spokesperson, you should be able to pronounce words correctly!!!!! This really drives me crazy! Ebonics drives me crazy, as well as other people who butcher the English language! AngryAngryAngry

Gotcha! I wouldn't be caught dead watching that old hag with her superior attitude anyway. She really makes me sick with her "I'm smarter than everyone else in the whole world, and that gives me a pass to be as rude and mean and spiteful and crass as I want to be. Oh, and I get paid MILLIONS from you suckers for that privilege."

Granted, she gets some real losers on that show, but still....

Well when I see a commercial where some company is offering to help you settle with the IRS, I ask myself this question:

"How did you get so deep in tax trouble that you feel you need the services of one of those companies?"

I know that things happen, but it seems to me there are WAY TOO MANY of these companies for it be because people fell on hard times and that's why their taxes are so screwed up.

I attribute a lot of their troubles to simple carelessness.

Wink Nice write-up, but people sometimes maintain blinders and ignore taxes. I've become one of them over the -10 years or so. I have lawyers and financial people for that stuff. That doesn't make me rich or totally stupid, it means I have great company benefits and that I've changed over time, How? For a few decades, I would prepare taxes for most of the family as a hobby, but I just got burned out on it - especially with New York State.
Now I'm one of the idiots you speak of.

Oasis Financial is a huge and barely legal scam.
"Welcome to our f**ked-up and bastardized US of not Canada Capitalistic Society where we are allowed to fleece the ignorant and separate the money from those that don't know the difference and thus shouldn't have it anyway."
Big smileWink Welcome to the trailer park, aka! PoFolk TV it is! We actually have one or two TVs that work here.
Trailer parks need women to pass around, too - she CERTAINLY looks like many from back near Wolfy Island (no trailer homes on island).
The following contains a good grouping of a target market mentality for Oasis Financial - you'll see the youthful, youthfully-offensive, some plain and straight offensive, some deviants, and a couple you might recognize from some years back (2:05 into the below), but that's not my gun, so...and yes, that IS 'Steppenwolf' with one really great cut from their 'coming out of retirement' album, 'Slow Flux' (1974), which I was REALLY excited about - 43 years ago (ConfusedDisapproveEmbarrassed)

This is not a tax service, it's about collecting a personal injury claim.

Oasis specializes in lawsuit financing for individual plaintiffs. Lawsuit financing is a means of obtaining funds specific to a legal personal injury complaint or lawsuit.

And, I think Anduril nailed it!

ConfusedBobo? OSB simply generalized the whole gamut of financial commercials, most of which are tax-related. I agree with OSB and feel strongly about the point made, so I'm not only very supportive of OSB's post, I think it wise others take those good words to heart.
We ALL know about  Oasis Financial

Thanks, PaW. I'm all for friendly interaction.

But like I said, this has nothing to do with fools who don't pay their taxes.

Yeaaaa...thanks. What's the point? Threads go off-topic all the time and, unless you just want to be a

Yeah these days I call Broadcast TV channels "Ghetto TV" especially the ones that used to be UPN, WB, or CW channels. When you watch them during the daytime all the commercials are usually for either payday lending services, DUI lawyers, or diploma mills.

There appeared to be some confusion about what Oasis does and I was only trying to clear that up. Wink
