I always thought there was some broadcasting glitch and this was just the tail end of some longer commercial. But it seems this might be the entire commercial. If only all commercials were this long. Has anyone else seen this?

Thor, Salonpas is made by Hisamitsu and is mentioned (sung?) at the end of the Salonpas commercial to show that it's the manufacturer.

I always get just the 2-second soundbite, probably a few times a week. |

The 2 second bit is really interesting and actually seems possibly a smart idea - it pulled me in and I immediately had to look up the company to see who they were and what they provide. If there are more folk like me who fall for that kind of bait, then they have us hitting their website out of curiosity, and, as Stacy points out - we will see they manufacture Salonpas (which seems their primary product) and a few other items, which I possibly never would never have known about

The original video posted kinda sound like that song from Grease.- (posted below)
And speaking of brief Japanese ads, Sit Ubu Sit popped into my head...not from Japan I know. I just always found this odd, yet simple and brilliant. |

Thor, you probably just haven't paid attention to the Salonpas commercial and didn't realize it was PART of it. It's not just a soundbite.

It's true though, the final branding gets cut out of a lot of commercials. |

Probably right. But all I've ever noticed was that soundbite alone. I must've seen it like 20 times. Happens right as a TV show goes to commercials. |
