YIKES!  This ad FREAKS me the heck OUT!  I don't even know what car it's for--I think it's Saturn, but I can't tell.  The music sounds like the Midwich Cuckoos cut a record deal!
I *think* they're saying "what' you gonna' do/what you gonna' do?"  But you can't quote me...<*shivers violently*>  Anyone else hate this ad?  DEFINITE auto-mute for me!

Was it a Lincoln ad? Did it end with the word "Technology" being said in a babyish voice?

Song from the Lincoln ad is "Technologic" by Daft Punk, my favorite band. Technologic is one of my least favorite songs by them though, it's been featured in too many commercials too.

THIS is my favorite Daft Punk commercial, featuring one of their best songs, and the DP duo themselves. Too bad it's hawking GAP clothing...

I think I know which one you mean, and it irritates the crap out of me, too.

I think I know which one you're talking about. They're speaking or singing or something but you can't tell what they're saying. This commercial evokes an immediate mute button/channel change response. It is creepy/annoying and stupid. I hate it with the passion and sometimes when I see sh*t like this the power button gets pressed instead of mute or "channel up."

I just heard this again. It's a Lincoln ad. I hurled up my dinner that I was eating while listening to the weird creepy disgusting nonsense of the music, and then I paused a moment, and then hurled again. After I cleaned the mess up I turned off the TV and then hurled some more. Dead

There's another one with some lame worthless remake of the Major Tong Elton John song. It's major lame, stupid, nauseating and not worth 2 sh*ts.

The "singer's" voice sounds like a female robot that sucked in a bunch of helium.

I thought it was Vern Troyer (Mini Me)  trying to sing rap.LOL   I saw that ad this morning and it is Lincoln....but why does it have an Oldsmobile face?  Annoying as hell.

I often find it amazing that so many people have so much trouble recognizing what car's these awful car commercials are for. They spend so much time showing a babe or some science fiction gimmickry that the car and brand are unrecognizable.

I know there has been dedicated threads on this issue, but one thing that really gets me are the stunt driving that they show some of these cars go through - as if anyone would do the things they are showing to a brand new $40,000 automobile. I'll tell you one thing: if I just got a new Jeep Wrangler that puppy wouldn't be bouncing around moonscapes ruining my alignment, shocks and getting mud splashed all over it. More than likely I'd be sitting in traffic during rush hour behind some exhaust fume emitting vehicle listening to mr. tough guy wannabe blasting his boom music in the other lane! How come they never show that!

Hardly a two-post newb--connection troubles.
Yes, it's Lincoln, yes it looks like the car is cruising over the salt flats, YES, still creepy as blazes!

I like Daft Punk normally but this song is VERY annoying and I can't stand this commercial.

Not to mention everything made by Ford (with the exception of the Mustang) is ugly, including the new Lincoln MKS.  I don't care how advanced the technology in the car is if it looks like a giant turd.

What's up with that music, anyhow?  Is that Chipmunk-Techno?

I half expect to hear someone yelling, "ALVIN!" during that song.
