There was another thread on this from last year, this is a the newer commercial.
I'm pretty sure my heart is still beating, that's all I really need to know.

My doctor makes me wear one of these.
I guess she doesn't believe me when I tell her I really did hit the gym.

I had to reset mine for 6,000 daily step goals.
It comes factory set for 10,000 steps, but I'm not 20 anymore.
That said, for weight maintenance, diet is the only thing that truly matters.

Hey, this got me to thinking:

I wonder if FitBit has a model big enough to fit that girl in the other post:
"My Big Fat Fabulous Life"?

Just to play technicality (what can I say, this is my 'field'), while it's roughly true that diet is the only thing that matters in weight maitenence, the exercise makes the difference between having to maintain on 1800 calories versus 2000+

At my current stats, if I wanted to maintain without any exercise, I'd have to live on 2047 calories a day, and if I wanted to lose weight, it'd be 1650 calories...hardly enough to keep sane on.

Whereas, even if I cut my normal exercise regimin in half (to keep things easier on the old foagies like you, Anduril. :P) to 3 days a week I could get in 2400 calories to maintain.

If I did 5-days a week exercise of any variety, I could get in over 2500 calories to maintain, and still lose fat on just over 2000 calories. (As a fun aside, this also means I'm trying to eat up to 3000 calories a day right now, and that's just as hard as trying to eat less than 2000!)

So...diet is important to weightloss, but exercise is important to sanity. :P

Good observation.   Made me think of the FedEx arrow which young kids are much more apt to notice than older people.
