I'm a man so I don't exactly know, but I'd like to think tampon commercials falls squarely into that category of "things that don't really need advertising". I imagine most women know where to find them, and most probably already have a favorite go-to brand. I doubt seeing dumb actresses go down slides is going to make them rush to the store and exchange their current box for another brand, but what do I know?

I wish they would restrict their advertising to women's magazines.  If they advertise on the Internet, I wouldn't see it because I have AdBlocker.  (I'm a woman BTW.)  The TV ads are usually stupidly showing how active you can be, and they've gone into TMI territory.

The precise reason I respond as over-the-top as I do.

As a woman, can you tell me if I was accurate in my assumption that tampon commercials are much like TP commercials - in that most of the target audience already have their preferred brands so advertising is pretty much pointless?

As a man,  I'd suggest if she can't go down a waterslide without making a mess, maybe she could double as a paint brush.

That "Ladylike" video?  W T F ? ? ?  I could only watch until 0.36 and I refuse to watch the rest.  What in the world is wrong with them?  Next up:  Taking a crap is a natural bodily function, so let's make Ladylike Poo Paintings, shall we?  Oh wait, I think someone already invented that artform:  babies and toddlers!!!

I am so eeked out by those weirdo females.  Shocked  Sick

LOLWell, there goes my tomato soup & cracker lunch!
Thanks, Snes!
Having said that, I think I will stick with the 'striping the parking lot'. Not so abstract, will be used by many for quite some time, and, if properly sealed and cared for, will hang around for a lifetime.
Kind of like your very own personal signed Sally Hemings piece of art.
