I still enjoy listening to the CDs of concerts I attended in the past, many of the Grateful Dead concerts I attended are available. It's cool to hear them again, sober this time around! lol
I also love hearing The Isle of Wight Festival, which was my second festival ever! I was very stoned, but still remember seeing and hearing Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Moody Blues, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Free, Taste w/ Rory Gallagher, Jethro Tull, The Doors, Ten Years After.....and many more!

Excellent! I hope Stevie plays some Traffic tunes for you, and Jeff Beck is a God amongst guitarists. He can bloody well play anything and make it sound good!
Have fun luv!
Cheers!

Little bit of rock trivia for you here involving Traffic & the title to their most well known song.

There is a supporting actor who was a fairly common face in the movies & on some TV shows back in the late 60's - early 70's, named Michael J. Pollard...

He played the role of filling station attendant turned bank robber & accomplice of Bonnie & Clyde in the 1967 movie starring Warren Beatty & Faye Dunaway.

Anyway, he was also friends with Jim Capaldi of Traffic & they spent one summer hanging out together in Morocco. Capaldi always kept a notebook in which he'd write down song ideas.

When the summer was ending & one of them was preparing to leave, Pollard made a notation in Capaldi's notebook that read... The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys

Later on, upon Capaldi seeing it, the song was born.

And now you know.

If you didn't already, that is.

YOU are offering ANYTHING? You have accomplished distracting the board again.

If you want to do something neat, start an actual thread about a specific commercial you do not care for. Post the video.

I don't care, for the reasons I stated earlier.  Besides, we already have music threads.

But are you actually thinking of asking Nathan to start a whole music section here?  You?  Donathan?  The guy who's lucky to just be here, and who's pretty much hanging on by a thread (so to speak)?  Are you actually thinking of asking Nathan for this favor considering the fact that he's inches away from kicking you outta here??  Please.  ShockedLOL

As I've already said, you probably shouldn't even be starting threads here at this point.

It would be superfluous.

Stop trying so hard.

The Isle of Wight Festival was GRRRRRRRREAT! I had the 1970 festival on an old RCA video disc in the mid 1980s. Unfortunately the video disc format was severely lacking in durability and I ended up giving away my player and by then poorly playing discs In the early 1990s.

I had the good fortune of attending 3 Jeff Beck concerts. Los Angeles, CA 1970s, Eugene, OR 1980s, and Portland, OR 1990s. I know you will enjoy your April concert.

I'm game for a music section!

I've been a hardcore Flamin' Groovies fan for ages.

My January goal is to get deeper into the following "non-current" groups:  1.  Traffic  2.  The Nazz and 3.  Moby Grape.  I have no idea what my Febuary music goal will be!!!

I'm a member of Car Talk forums. Last year they had a favorite car/motor vehicle related songs/music thread. We could have a favorite songs/music in commercials thread although I would not anticipate very many posts.
