I was a victim of a computer hacker a little over a month ago, so I had to abandon my old computer, then purchase a new devise, thus causing me to reset EVERYTHING in my computer life!
Thanks to the kindness and compassion of Nathan, I was able to reset myself here! I have missed many of my music downloads, and some of my recipes on a different site may have been compromised ( which pisses me all the way off!). I don't know why computer hackers exist, because I do not think about criminal behaviour at all in my life. I would never think about stealing information from others in any way, shape, or form, but these miscreants do it on a regular basis. I wish I could boil them all in their own blood, then feed them to sharks! |

I had problems with my last e-mail account. Once someone maxed out one or our credtit cards.
Weird Al, should do a version with this music. Hacka, hacka, hack, they call him the Hacker.

Welcome back, Jimmy---under any name. But what was it like when your computer was hacked? That is, what actually happened? How did you know you were hacked? |

(..apologies! With one bad eye, I misread the thread title - thought is was "Hookers can suck my balls!").
Wow...sorry to hear about it, Chef. There are lots of little idiots without enough to do and even more 'electronic criminals' out there.

A friend of mine told me that I was sending him email messages through my computer to his.....from an address in Central Europe! It turns out that my identity was hacked through a site where I exchanged some recipe advise from a culinary colleague who was living in a country which has been in the center of trouble recently. I shall not be trading culinary info with anyone from outside the USA anymore! Luckily I didn't have any credit card info compromised! |

Hmmmm...I've gotten emails from friends whose email accounts were hacked. The first time was from a friend's son's gmail account. It was a link to a porn flick that was sent to everyone in the address book of that gmail account. I didn't think the guy would've sent me porn, but I was certain he wouldn't have sent it to the Dean of Students at Berkeley (who was a few names after me in his address book). Was it something like that? |
