LOL"Look! Over on the kitchen counter! It's a JUICER! It's a Brita Water Container! Noooooo....it's MY FUN FISH TANK!"
~~~
I *just* saw this while drinking some almost-expired chocolate milk - the timing couldn't have been worse as the cup in the commercial started filling up with what appeared to be the same thing I was guzzling. Yup. I puked a tiny little bit in the back of my mouth - now I taste the chocolate milk and peanut butter-filled pretzels I just finished off.
But that's not all.
Common sense tells us fish just don't do well in modified water pitchers - fish swim back and forth, not up and down. Got a 'My Fun Fish Tank'? You'll probably have a psycho fish in no time now that he's locked in a glass solitary confinement cell. Probably why they used Japanese Betas (they only live alone). Know this: While you are smiling, pointing and tapping on your 'My Fun Fish Tank' your fish is trying to figure out to trade places wish you so you can feel his pain.
Thought I was the only one who thought this commercial was screwed up. Or the only one who had seen it. Was going to post about this as well, but couldn't remember the name of it. There's also a bunch of these cheesy kids product commercials. Again I can never remember the name of the products because all I can think when they're on is "who comes up with these ultra cheesy, junk filled, awful rhyming ads?" Better than rap,I guess. But still sucks.
Those kids'll be amused for 5 minutes, and in about 5 days, the fish dies.
When parents buy their kids such stupid crap, don't they understand this?
^No. Not all humanoids were meant to breed, but it's against the law to spray for them, or even spay them, so we end up with stuff like 'My Fun Fish Tank'.
I'm more interested in these peanut butter filled pretzels of which you speak.
Are they available in nationally known stores and why haven't I seen such treats before?
They should have a "My Fun 55 Gallon Drum Aquarium".
Give those poor little fishies some room to swim around in.
YAY! ANIMAL CRUELTY IS SO AWESOME! :D
Even Betas have been shown to be infinitely happier in a 10 gallon that the stupid .5-1 gallon tanks typically sold for them. I have a nice-sized 2-gallon container with some stuff in it, but mostly just clams, micro-life (got a triop in there, but the other eggs didn't hatch, apparently) and a few fish I've researched who are more resilient and don't mind smaller-size (though this container is pretty wide). Right now there's just Gambusia in there because I bought them for an outdoor pond and they've been breeding like rabbits.
H K Anderson Peanut Butter Filled Pretzel Nuggets - Dollar Tree, in the 'snacky section' with other pretzels. Small bag, just enough of them. They're great, worth all one hundred pennies!
You can find jugs of them in other stores for anywhere between $6-$12.
Now, if you are familiar with TARGET/COSTCO's 'KIRKLAND' products, they also make them (I've never tried theirs).
Not that I recall, but then again, I don't go down that aisle much anymore & actually, don't really go to DT that much anymore in general. Just about all I get there anymore is bread.
They're really good.  They also make a cheese-filled pretzel, which the DT gets occasionally.
No, Dollar Tree is a place I never go here in Statesboro but I'll be there soonly to check out these snack miracles.
Maybe I'll make a horrible commercial for it that we can all complain about!
I hope you find them there, because if you don't, you'll be in for a bad case of the Statesboro BluesCry
Nothing wrong with Dollar Tree - I'm damed glad we have one (we have very few stores on the island)...anyway, now that Dollar Tree owns Family Dollar (DT bought them last week), you may start seeing common products in both places...inccluding PB-stuffed pretzels ~aaand~ 'My Fun Fish Tanks'.
^  You'd probably have to break it down into parts.  I know that when I put tree branches into my 96-gallon yard waste container, they fit much better when I break them up.  Another possible solution is to stuff the body in there, and then jump up and down on it, so that it all squashes down nicely.  Just be careful not to crack the glass walls of the aquarium.  Then, you end up having seepage.
