Doesn't pretty much all TV suck right now? I mean the Kartrashians? Sorry about the spelling. But who really cares? Honey boo-boo? WTF? Rockin body ads? What have we become? I was losing all hope until I discovered this great site. I thought I was alone in losing my mind. But I'm not, am I? Rise up my commercial hating friends and be heard!!! (and sorry for any mistakes or misspellings :-) )

All still ongoing or only just recently ended:Sons of Anarchy, Justified, American Horror Story, Fargo, Breaking Bad, Criminal Minds, Dexter, True Detective, Walking Dead...Orange is the New Black too, if a Netflix series counts. And I haven't even checked a few shows I suspect I might like, such as Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, and The Amerikans(I plan on checking The Strain when it debuts in...August, IIRC). So, based on those, I'd say the answer is a resounding "no". There's several good non-reality shows out there currently. Maybe your tastes are different than mine, but frankly, I consider some of the above shows some of the best TV programming that's ever existed(and this sentiment is shared by my entire family and every friend I've spoken to on the topic) I suppose it's worse off if you're a comedy fan(or don't have cable, admittedly most of that list above is cable programming), outside of Modern Family, the recently ended Community, and Parks & Rec which has become a lot more hit & miss in the most recent seasons there isn't much that hooks me, but I confess I'm pretty picky in the comedy department. |

The problem is that there still are quality programs, but all this reality TV crap over the last decade has become so ubiquitous that everything else gets grossly overshadowed to the point that it seems like it's exclusively sh*t that's on the air.

You think so, or just playing a safe hunch? I initially considered it a possibility ( ), then recanted. But one never knows. |

I haven't seen anyone here who I've thought could be donathan/ken/anna. The tone of his posts is unmistakable to me. Haven't seen it again yet. |

Despite all the trash out there, there thankfully is still quality television out there.

I watch a lot of PBS & the retro channels like MeTV.
All that other stuff can kiss my ass. |

I was saying that Kardashian show is horrible, so it's a blessing that it will be canceled next year.

^This has arguably been one of the greatest years for U.K. telly, though...just saying.

Though I can't speak to their programming in general, I can say that, IMO, what I've seen of it certainly has more class than anything coming out of Hollywood.
If it weren't for the two PBS stations here in the region where I live, & retro stations like MeTV & AntennaTV, I wouldn't even watch television. Maybe the news & weather. |
