I used to think that once rap music made it into TV commercials, rap would go away. It hasn't. That ship sailed long ago, and it's still around. |

They ALL look like they just stepped out of 1991. In fact, this commercial looks like it could have been made in 1991. I remember seeing cereal commercials just like this when I was a kid. Yeah, it's a stupid commercial, but it looks like it was intended for the Nickelodeon/Cartoon Network/Disney crowd, so it's hard to develop a vitrolic hatred for it. Seems like an average kiddie spot to me. |

^except I see this more on "mature" networks than CN.
I think it might be trying to stir a nostalgic thing for the "adults" where were children when the original ads like these aired. |

Commercials like these were kind of cute back when pop-rap was more a niche genre and we weren't certain it would blow up like it has. |

On a somewhat related note...
...yeah, can we just do for kids' cereal commercials what we do for "grown-up" cereal commercials and stop bullsh*tting everyone with this "complete breakfast" lie? No one eats complete breakfasts these days. Some of us don't even eat breakfast at all. XP |

It's coming back, especially in the NBA. I liked how they went with 'epic' though. Keep it dusty Reeses.

Reminds me of that scene in "Houseparty" where the cop yells out "Hey, Eraserhead!" |

Talk about color overload! No I'm not talking about the kid's race, I'm talking the hue of the room. Its really loud!
I agree that the "part of a complete breakfast" is complete bull crap they've been peddling that junk since who knows when. |

Rap does not equal ghetto. And just because you don't personally like a particular type of music, that doesn't mean it shouldn't exist. I don't like rap either, but I'm not arrogant enough to say it should go away, as if my personal taste in music is more important than what other people may want to listen to. Some of you people on here are extremely ignorant.

Then please tell us oh wise one AlabamaShakes, what does equal ghetto? Hmm?
I can't hate this commercial, besides the bad hairdoo and the annoying beat. There's nothing to hate about this ad! |

If so much of it weren't filthy, nasty-mouthed "audio-pornography" or else just tacky, soulless, IGNORANT garbage that does nothing but glorify material wealth & obtaining as much money as possible any way possible, some of us might agree with you. Sure, there is some rap that isn't ghetto/gutter level. But not much of it. And we will continue to express our opinions about it regardless of what you think of us. Funny how you call us ignorant while defending music that promotes ignorance & encourages those who listen to it to be ignorant. |

Looks like this was filmed in an astronaut zero-gravity simulation room or something.
I tried that once when I was a kid. Bowl of cereal, glass of milk, glass of juice, and toast. Didn't really go well together.

I think it's better as a snack than as a cereal. For some reason, it's not flavorful enough in milk, but it's pretty good dry. |

I remember enjoying the cereal back in the 90s, but haven't really eaten it since and I'm sure it's formula has changed for the worse like all other cereals have. |
