Many of you saw the opening ceremony, and the majority was in awe of the spectacle. But is that enough for you to turn back and watch the games? To me, I was surprised that the ceremony didn't book anyone worthless  (from what I've read, didn't watch) and the visuals are above what I expected. For those of you who saw the opening ceremony, are you still not watching the games.

I'm probably not going to watch the games simply because I don't have the time to.

For the most part, I find watching sports to be extremely boring.

Watched some highlights on Sportscenter this a.m., and some murdered US tourist covered in a sheet. Cry
So much for China's image.

Yes, as a matter of fact - and our Ladies just squeaked past the Dutch....

(Just watched Michael Phelps set a new Olympic record in the 400 Meter)

I actually saw a little bit of that earlier.  I noticed that the US team had more top coverage than the Nederlands team, who were almost naked.  "Because it's hot."

DirecTV has a whole bunch of channels dedicated to Olympic coverage.  Like 5ish.

I saw fencing earlier, that was kind of cool.  Someone was making all kinds of noises, she sounded like a fisher cat / Blair Witch.  I feel enriched, having had that TV experience.  I think.

BTW the US swept fencing.  Women's, at least.
Let's try not to be boring, mkay?

I watch it here and there, caught some of it eating at 99 with my family.
One good thing about TV-you could always turn it off

I'm still not. it's a bit difficult, because, my Husband is watching it. I just read, paint etc. while it's on, I know my little protest won't count for a hill of beans, but it makes me feel better.

Kathy-Lee-Cody-Style-Cute-Kid-Alert:

The TV was on the Olympics, somehow, last night and happened to be Men's Gymnastics.  Kid and I discussed the red stirrup pants they were wearing.  There was a lot of chalk being used.  Kid says "I know THOSE pants are going in the laundry, as soon as he gets home."

To watch young people from all over the world compete in intense, but friendly competition...hell yes, that is a great thing!

For those of you that chose not to watch, sorry for your loss.

The exception being our multi-million dollar pro basketball players.

Those volleyball girls are hardly "hot" they are in a depleted form. With muscles at full capacity there is little to "enjoy" other than admiration of the precise machines they have crafted themselves in to .
Now when they are "off season" or whatever, they soften up and well then we can go all ogly on them.

Oh and two of those fencers... Oregonians *sniff*

However: the underwater shots of any swimming event are extremely cool during this Olympics.
