You knew of and loved his show, back when you were either just a wet dream, or just young enough to babble incoherently (just like today, except you were younger back then).
Detroit is broke and will possibly resort to selling its children and heroes. Looks like we may be bordering on the days of 'RoboCop' (or, is Peter Weller still under contract with The History Channel?). Detroit's bankruptcy could spell good-bye for Howdy Doody
One has to be concerned for the good people of Motor City.

Too bad former NYC Mayor Ed Koch passed away. He took NYC out of the brink of bankruptcy back in '77. NYC was a bleak, depressing, dangerous sh*t hole back then. |

It's really sad how far Detroit has fallen. It was once THE place to be, many great singers came from Detroit, mainly Diana Ross and The Supremes, great cars came from Detroit, and it was called The Motor City. Detroit business has taken a huge nosedive, and I was saddened to see Detroit on a "Most depressing cities in USA," list last year. Shame what happened to a previously happening city.

This story breaks my heart. 50,000 abandoned dogs estimated to be living in Detroit.
Here's the story:
But the video does just as well:
