Even statuesque leggy Brooke Shields can't save this stupid vapid commercial for Lazyboy. A woman who looks like a Halloween witch can't believe hottie MILF Brooke Shields latest furniture purchase is from the gauche Lazyboy store. Witch woman disses Brooke by telling her "Shut Up" several times. She can't believe the couch is a Lazyboy. Who came up with "Shut Up" for unbelievable? So obnoxious hipster and I'm sorry that "shut up" lady could put your pet in an early grave! "SHUT UP!"

This is a commercial that needs Samuel L Jackson showing up with a pistol yelling "Say shut up again motherf**ker, say shut up again!"

I've always found the "Shut up" thing to be something snotty women say. No one I talk to says it, because it sounds like you stepped out of a Valley Girls book. Like, shut UP! Ohmygawd! *ditzy hair flip*
"Oh, and just because I like humans, it doesn't mean that I like you personally. That's important to note."

I thought the "shut-up!" thing was from Elaine on Seinfeld. Remember? When someone said something unbelievable, she would always yell, "Shut-up!" and then give the person a shove.

Or just give her a piece of her own advice:

Thank God! I really got into Seinfeld and friends. Elaine was way too cool to lower herself to hipster jargon. No Soup For You!
And look out soon the worst time of the year for badvertising is coming up the holiday season and there is a commercial for one of the retail chains where the hipster trendoid girl says "Shut Up!" I forgot which company. She's in a bike shop and the unwashed looking hipster hippie dude tells her the bike is free and she bleats "Shut Up." Angry

Shouldn't Brooke be calling security on her phone? Or the police?

The male version of "Shut up" would be "Now, that's what I'm talkin' about".

I wish both expressions would go away.

Or, Brooke should have called the closest stable and advised them one of their fouls turned up in my digs.

Elaine and the Seinfeld gang were way too cool to degenerate to "Shut Up" as slang. Shut Up is for uncool folk and hipsters, these days interchangeable.
