Congrats!  Do you remember when we both were about to hit 1,000 at the same time?  You left me in the dust.

WinkAbsolutely, Hooty (and Thanks).
Brings back memories of having to *BUMP* to get the post count up (no, no, NO - I didn't do that), then that terrible case of 'Diarrhea of the Fingers' that I suffered for so long...

20,000?

Amateur.

By the way, when did you actually join CIH, Pa?  To those of you who are unaware, the April 15, 2008 "joined" date that many here have, is not quite accurate.  Our number of posts carried over from a previous version of CIH.  I think I actually joined in 2005 or 2006.

Says something either about our loyalty and ability to commit, or about our lack of lives.  LOL

I believe I joined CIH right around the turn of the century when it was still hosted on the Voyforums platform.

I have several hobbies: collecting insulators, flying R/C aircraft, collecting small-frame lasers, and running my huge (user-accessible content ~0.0710343500889217929 terabytes {~71.0343 gigabytes}) website about LEDs, flashlights, lasers, R/C products, etc.

Wow, Pa. That's quite an achievement. I hope to someday reach that mark.

I've been with CIH since its infancy in 1997. Are the post numbers from when we were under VoyForums or for as long as we've been here? Because I'm pretty sure I posted more than 3000 times. Those were some wild times in the beginning. But I digress.

I have a few hobbies that occupy my time. I just finished acting in a yearly Street Theater tour (LOADS of fun!), I write, I read, I listen to music and I like to bake.

You can go into archive.org (the Wayback Machine) to see old members and old posts, but it's pretty wacky to deal with.  Just doesn't work very well.  Click onto a commercial topic in 2007, and you end up looking at a totally unrelated one from several years later.

I just type in "archive.org".  There's a spot on that page that asks you to type in the website you're looking for.  Then, just hit enter.  You can select dates for CIH that you want to look at from a calendar of sorts, but don't expect it to work very well.

Or you can just click on this:

Big smileThanks Moochy.
Actually, Thor's been around a little longer than me - I just tend not to 'shut up', to many's dismay.

Wow, that was cool! I remember some of those old posters. I even saw a couple of old posts of mine! Ahhh, good times.

PS - I didn't know Donathan was here from as early as 2003.

20,000 is a mighty milestone Pa.

I think I joined a few months before the forums moved here. Tried logging in, couldn't, and gave up for a few months before I realized we moved and I needed a reset. Confused

I'd still really love to to a web series about hating on ads. Much like those videos that Nathan used to have up. God how I love the hate. I don't because I'm lazy and self conscious. Maybe if I get fired from my job...
It's ok, I'm in marketing!
