It's early Sunday morning, I don't know what in the hell time it is!
I find this epic drama on METV, I think? Family Affair.
In the year 2017, you might think this is some seedy story of scandal and incest. No!
Buffy is being bullied, by an older girl who lives in the building, about Mrs. Beasley.
For those of you who weren't alive yet, Mrs. Beasley is Buffy's doll.
Buffy gives up Mrs. Beasley and Mr. French (stuffs her down the garbage disposal)...Sorry, I made up that part. How did I survive through such stupid TV?

Buffy barely survived the show herself. She died of a drug OD in 1976. These guys did a song about her: Uncle Bill, Uncle Bill I took some pills Mr. French, Mr. French I'm really tense |

I might skip The Walking Dead tonight. It's on too late. I get up too early. If so, this'll be the first episode I've missed in its Sunday night time slot in 5 years.
Besides, the show's been off its game this season. I'm starting to lose interest. |

The Diodes, what a cool name. Not really my preferred flavor of music, I understand why you like it.
I vaguely remember the headline of her death.
Actress Anissa Jones
Actress Anissa Jones, who portrayed Jody's twin sister Buffy, died of a drug overdose at age 18 in 1976. Actor Brian Keith, who played Uncle Bill, reluctant guardian of the orphaned children, fought cancer and committed suicide at age 75 in 1997.
I guess they were trying to teach family values, the next episode was about the 'fat girl' at school.
Stick a fork in me, I'm done.

A diverse day of TV viewing for me, Sundays are strange on broadcast TV.
More Family Affair on MeTV, it must have been the first episode ever.
An aunt drops off a very young Buffy at Uncle Bill's posh NYC apartment.
Long story short, Mr. French is frightened to death and being called a 'Nanny' at a trip to the park.
At the end of the show, Uncle Bill is heading to some foreign country and Jody shows up.
Then the older sister, Sissy! I guess poor old Mr. French was enjoying his role as a gentleman's gentleman.
Escape TV had nothing but movies I have seen before so I switch to Ion.
Another pretty good show I have not seen before, White Collar.

Another odd thing I noticed about broadcast TV, my converter shuts its self off after 3-4 hours of no channel changes.
I have to crank the volume up almost all of the way just to hear the sound! At every TV!
If I have the washer or dryer, the dishwasher or just about anything running in the garage I can't even hear it!

More profound thoughts, from the aka ranch, on broadcast TV.
I saw another episode of Green Acres this morning....those nymphos are always in bed together!
Seems like on Dick Van Dyke's show and I love Lucy, you never saw a man and a woman in bed together.
Bed Sharing - Traditionally, all married TV couples in the 1950s and early 1960s were required sleep in separate (twin beds) to uphold moral codes of the times. Many of the top couples of all time such as Rob and Laura Petrie, and even Ward and June Cleaver never had the satisfaction of knocking knees in the same bed in front of the American public.
The first TV program to show a husband and wife sharing the same bed on a regular basis occurred in 1947 on the Dumont sitcom MARY KAY AND JOHNNY. TV's first sitcom ever. The program told the tale of a newly married couple living in Greenwich Village. Unfortunately, no copies of the show exist so we must rely on the documented memories of others to prove the point. Later in the 1950s Ozzie and Harriet broke the taboo and were seen in the same bed. While Lucy and Ricky Ricardo on I LOVE LUCY definitely slept in separate beds, their neighbors Fed and Ethel were actually the first on that show to sleep together in the same bed (well sort of). It seems on the January 17, 1955 episode "First Stop" Ethel and Fred try to navigate their way through a sagging mattress and consequently are seen squirming in bed together. Another sitcom couple who have linked with being the first to share a bed were Darrin and Samantha Stephens, a witch and advertising executive who lived at 1164 Morning Glory Circle Drive in Westport, Connecticut on the prime time sitcom BEWITCHED/ABC/1964-72. Florence Henderson (a.k.a. Carol Brady) from THE BRADY BUNCH had claimed for years that she and her TV husband Mike Brady (Robert Reed) were the first couple to share a bed together, but through the magic of reruns, her claims has been deposed. And, of course, while Herman and Lilly Munster on THE MUNSTERS and Fred and Wilma Flintstone were seen in the same bed, they are not technically speaking humans. The Munsters being monsters and the Flintstones cartoons. See also Urban Legends Webpage - "Early to Bed" |

Four episodes into Mr. Robot. Really digging it thus far. Claustrophobic and uncomfortable, just the way I like it.

I have learned that Escape just plays the same damn movies over and over!
Spending much more time on Ion, Criminal Minds is on right now. One question about that show.
They hop on their Lear jet to go just about anywhere in the country...does a big transport plane carry those big black SUVs right behind them? It seems like they always have them.
I like Burn Notice and yesterday they played several episodes of White Collar, I like that show too.

I was pleasantly surprised when I found this movie on Escape this morning, I have seen it before but it has been a while.
Her Alibi
A writer of BAD detective novels is in full writers' block. He pretends to be the alibi of a beautiful woman who was arrested for murder at first thinking her innocent, but as she shows more and more interesting abilities (such as knife throwing) he begins to doubt his first assessment. He is still falling for her, but more and more nervous as time passes, and there are more close calls with death on his part.

I'm making a lot of funky connections as my broadcast TV world expands.
Right now, on Law and Order. That's freaking Christopher from the Sopranos!
His partner? Dennis Farina from Unsolved Mysteries! This is freaking me out, man!
On Burn Notice yesterday, I saw the name Sharon Gless in the credits??
From Cagney & Lacey? But wait! There's more! Who is the guest star? Tyne Daly!!!

^^ That "Christopher" was in Goodfellas also, playing a young Mafiosi go-fer, and where he had the misfortune of getting shot - not once, but twice - by Joe Pesci. Ouch, ouch!!!

I'm having another monumental revelation while watching my now cherished broadcast TV.
The show White Collar aired on the USA network from 2009 to 2014. 80 some episodes.
How can I be seeing another repeat?
The woman who plays Elizabeth Burke, wife of FBI agent Peter Burke. I have the serious hots for her!
When I see a beautiful woman on TV, I want to know more about her. Like more things, just things!
This woman is none other than the girl I loved 30 some years ago, Kelly from Saved By The Bell.

My Sling TV is getting a workout today. F*ck you, Charter!
Not only can I see Nascar practices and qualifying, along with Formula 1.
I can see episodes of Mr. Robot and Bates Motel.

One of my all-time favorite movies...right at a scene I have personally lived, when I went looking for MY childhood home, only to figure out was actually parked in the kitchen.

It's just broadcast TV, Jimbo. She may have done some R-rated stuff too. Emma Stone has something out, I'm pretty sure it is authentic, WOW! |

I suppose I could scour the porn video sites, but that just sounds like work to me today.
I'm too tired. |

I'm convinced that weekend broadcast TV sucks. My choices this morning at 7 AM were some stupid movie on Escape that I've seen 2 times. Childrens programming on ION.
I'm working the old computer pretty hard with thye truck race from last night streaming.
I did find a show on the CW, it was about an old Veterinarian named Dr. Pol. A pretty good show but he has a lot of problems with the old vehicles he drives.
