...as 'America's Sport' (and, well, the sport blessed by Myself, believe it or not - MLB Baseball) winds down, it seems to be stinkin' football time, again...so let me crank this up before NR starts the official 2011 thread - and until he does.

I think I smell the reek of the annual football season approaching...is everyone ready?
Who ya rootin' fer?
Me?

well...these guys.

Can't wait for the 49ers-Giants game tomorrow.  Big time statement game.  I'm incredibly pleased by the Niners this year...for God's sake, it's been almost 10 years since they were in a game that actually mattered this late in a year!

3-3 in first quarter..... Go Giants.Smile

NFC West is lame, your Niners already have it locked up.

Well, that one took a couple of years away from me, but damn!  49ers rule.  13-3 at worst with 5 games left against the Ivy League NFC West.  Very, very nice. Clap

The Niners are gonna tank in the playoffs.

And BTW, the Rams are now 2 - 7 - 0.

So, they still have a chance.

If they win ALL their remaining games & SF loses all theirs.....

ConfusedMissyDWolf only watches her beloved Dallas Cowboys...so, yesterday was a good day for her.
The Cowboys treated the Buffalo Bills like the new kids in the prison block and rode them bareback (44-7).

Eli can't get pass taking a sack vs. just lobbing the ball away hoping his team catches it.

This is the reason I don't care for Eli.  I've seen far too many instances of him just tossing the ball anywhere, or throwing it directly into the turf.

^^^^^^ Eli is pissed he wasn't included for the top 5 elite quarterbacks announced a couple weeks ago on SportsCenter. He pouts when he throws interceptions like a college boy qb.

IMO, he's a good qb- not elite.

Rumor has it that the Bears QB Jay Cutler broke his thumb on his passing hand, may need surgery, and may be out for the rest of the season.

Also, for your singing pleasure - to the tune of VanHalen's "Jamie's Crying":

Oh, Oh, Oh, Eli's Pouting......

Being a Bears fan first and foremost, you know I had to root for the Giants yesterday.  I'm glad they won.  I hope, for my husband's sake, that they make it to the Superbowl.

Anything's possible.

Thumbs Up  Great game. Eli took a beating and there were no flags thrown. Unlike last week, when pretty boy Rogers got a flag whenever the Giants put him on the ground.
