Just when you think Geico couldn't get anymore stupider they do.

I just saw a commercial where a woman relies on robots to do day care for her.

I'm not making this up.Angry

One good thing about TV-you could always turn it off

I like it. Especially the robot with the dial-up modem sound at 0:15 followed by the juice-box kid. Wonder how many times she had to film that.

The end is a bit freaky. Must terrorize some little kids.

The end of the commercial with the screaming kids with the robots carrying them made me LOL.

I hate this thing, and notice when a robot hands a box-drink to a little blonde girl and she reaches for it and it squirts at her, spraying all over her hair, getting her in the eyes. That little child actress was NOT expecting that move. Look at her poor little face and the way she puts her hand up to try and protect herself. It's hideous. Hideousness is what people want. They will buy it if enough hideousness is attached.

Gotta say I like this commercial too. "Hello..... [retina scan]... female child." Hilarious.

Yeah...it's really evident at 19 seconds after she turns away.  She did NOT like that.  But she's 3, and she's probably forgotten about it by now.  Besides, her older brothers probably do that all the time with their Super-soakers.  She'll learn to blast 'em right back.

This commercial obviously ends right before all the robots spontaneously gain sentience, start questioning why they have to take orders from fragile squishy humans and revolt killing everyone present.

You are absolutely correct about that child. It is unacceptable, and I am surprised her parent on the set didn't raise Hell. However hideousness does NOT sell, per se, it sells commercial time via hideous programming, but when it's commercial time, offending the viewer's sensibilities is a deadly and amateurish error. Have a nice day, etc. Smile

Ahh the irony of her using this robot daycare thing to "save" money when the multiple lawsuits start rolling in as a result of the robot apocalypse.

This spot lives or dies on dead-pan irony, the trickiest form of humor in TV commercial production (see Farmers Insurance spots). When she says "flaws?" it sounds like she says "floss?", and it falls flat on it's face right at the punchline. Finally, the entire spot is based on analogy via reductio ad absurdum, yet the analogy is not revealed until the final seconds thus, neither is the client's unique selling proposition. Not funny.

I just hope one of those unsuspecting kids isn't John Connor.

The commercial would have been better if she had found a "Special" daycare that's cheap because it hires illegal aliens.
