These stupid ads! This about the 4th different one I've seen.
Kids randomly dialing up Santa with his goofball elf helper on a tablet Skyping for a real car. Fusion, Focus, etc. Smart enough to know all the specs on a Ford, still stupid enough to think Santa is real.

Frankly, Ford can go itself! If they're going to advertise like this!
One good thing about TV-you could always turn it off

Corporations have absolutely no shame in how they advertise. This is, to me, part car ad and part buy-your kid-a cellphone. As parents, we teach our kids not to lie and then we throw Santa, the Easter Bunny and the tooth fairy at them. Kinda hypocritical

I don't understand what the point is of these commercials. None of these kids is old enough to drive, none of them is young enough to believe in Santa (in today's world, anyway). I can't make any sense out of these at all!

Exactly, it makes zero sense. It's just mind-boggling!

To quote the late, great Juan Julia in The Gumball Rally as he rips of the Ferrari's rear view mirror and throws it away. "We drive Italian style. What is behind us is not important"! In commercial land " We dupe the consumers and manufacturers AdTard style. What makes sense is not important"!

Clap  They'll manage to do this when one of their fugly ducklings (Mustang not included) has an exploding gas tank or sun visors that self distruct and ram shrapnell up the driver's ass.
I approve this message.

Yo, kids! I've got a ride for you: a school bus! LOL
I keep encountering 3rd graders who sound smarter than most ad writers.

The only time I was in Omaha was late August 2011 so I saw no school buses. Here in the NW riding a school bus is considered social suicide. The idiot parents here seem to be driven by their children's rules and demands. I'm a 1952 model and it was the complete opposite when I was a child. I rode the school bus for one year in the 7th grade with all my friends and thought nothing of it. All other years from grades 1-12 were within easy walking or bicycling distance although I drove myself after 16 years old. From the age of 8 through 12 I had to satisfactorily perform major chores to earn my 25 cents per week allowance and appreciated it. I really hate seeing public streets being blocked by parents, grandparents, and sitters delivering and picking up students while 60+ capacity buses arrive and depart with between 2 and 4 students onboard. It really chaps my A** that my property taxes pay for this. I have no problem paying for basic school costs. So much has gone wrong!

Doesn't the kid have some video game console to go play on instead of getting addicted to phones/social media at such a young age? When did it become the norm for 8-year-olds to have things like tablets?

Today's children are the most mollycoddled and pussified brats ever!  A combination of me generation parents, keeping up with the Joneses and peer pressure to be like everyone else has a hand in it, no doubt.

Probably 5 years ago or so.  Some friends/neighbors have a 7-month old girl.  One of her toys is a kiddie cellphone.  I don't know what it does.  Probably lights up and beeps and has some sorta recorded voice in it or something.
