Saw the story this morning on local Philly ABC, few other sites, and just got an email.
Basically it's a blame game now with these two mega-greedy slobs.

So no deal by Monday 5pm ET, I guess I lose my ABC channel. (local ABC in New York City is also affected also). This angers me to no end! AngryAngry  I supposed I can get one of those uglya** HD antennas, SMH.

Ahhh, time for contract negotiations again. I have Cox as my provider and I see these "chicken little" scenarios from time to time.

Yeah I know Dish has these issues a lot. Other cable providers. Verizon does drop channels from time to time - mostly channels I even even heard of, knew I had. But to lose a local channel I've had my entire life..a free channel I had on a  basic black and white TV when I was a damn kid, that does irk me! And I do watch ESPN...so I'll lose that. No deal has been set and the channels will go dark tomorrow at 5pm (12/31) Losing my local news, that ticks me off. Losing Jeopardy also. Anyway, I'll check out Walmart or Target today for one of those inexpensive HD antennas so I can still access my local Philly ABC. If these idiots strike a deal in the next 30 days - I'll just return the antenna.

I remember when Comcast yanked CMT from the regular lineup & put it in a pricey extra package with 2 other channels I never watch. Good thing the only thing I ever watched on that channel was reruns of Reba, but Comcast never discussed this with CMT who was pretty pissed that Comcast was tanking their ratings by making them less accessable.
