Enough of this ad, I literally see it 7-8 times every night.
Saw it a lot more during the 3 1/2 hour football game yesterday.
More "hip / cool" - more like annoying music.

eBay is more like "Come and Snipe It." If it's a big item on auction, nowadays you will lose unless you snipe within 2-3 seconds of the end of the auction...
Surprisingly I lost on two Beta tape lots from the 1980s even though I sniped at 2 sec to the end. They still got me at the split last second.

^Actually it seems that jewellery and some variety of collectables are almost too easy; I've been getting some fairly good quality gemstones and settings for almost a pittance. On the other hand, we've had an equally hard time trying to sell good quality stuff there.

I was hoping it was gonna be the old Badfinger song Come and Get it, which always makes me think of these 3 particular 9th-grade sluts from my 'hood.

I was just gonna make a new thread about this absolutely stupid commercial that's been annoying the heck out of me.  Ya, I just saw it a minute ago.  The moment I see/hear godzilla, it's time to fast change the channel.

Go to hell fleaBay!
SO I GO ON VEHIX.COM!....GOT A CAR TO SELL!....BUYING A CAR IS HARD!

Hi there, fans of B.F. Skinner!  Operative conditioning really, really works - at least for the susceptible and weak-minded (i.e., moi).  Just as I can never pass a Honda dealer without feeling a little queasy after last year's Michael Bolton fiasco, I now hesitate to sign in to eBay because of this idiotic song.  I am unable to forget that at one time Ford threatened to rock me.  I didn't want to be rocked then, and whatever the hell it means, I don't want to be rocked now.

There is apparently a connection between my right index finger and some diseased area in (what's left of) my brain - the part of the brain that controls rage.  Every time I have to hit the MUTE button on the remote so I don't have to listen to some damned super-annoying, whiny little "tune", it apparently destroys a tolerance neuron until critical mass has been achieved and I CAN'T STAND IT ANY LONGER.

Just the cost of remote control batteries is offensive.  Oh, wait.  I think I get it now.  When the MUTE button on the remote control goes bad, I'll have to go on eBay to buy another remote control.  Is that the idea?

This topic seems to have turned into a review of eBay rather than (what I believe is) their first venture into mass media ear murder.   I've been buying on eBay for many years.  I've been swindled a few times, I've become the proud owner of other people's broken sh*t several times, and I've occasionally scored some amazing items at astoundingly low prices.  I've encountered a few truly horrible people and some really nice people.  I once had to talk a guy out of trudging to the post office in a raging blizzard because God forbid I should receive my inconsequential little purchase a day late.

EBay is necessary because it is one of the few ways someone who wishes to sell something and someone who (for example) dors not wish to drive from hardware store to hardware store all day long looking for that item.  Unfortunately, running eBay has given some deluded folks the idea that they might be fit for political office.

But I digress.  Why does eBay need to advertise?  Is there actually a significant portion of the population unaware of eBay?  And once that decision had been made, who's in charge of hiring the low-bidder advertising agency with orders to FIND THE MOST ANNOYING, WHINY THREE-NOTE LITTLE TUNE PERFORMED BY TALENT SHOW LOSERS AND MAKING IT EVEN WORSE BY ILLUSTRATING IT WITH ABANDONED YOU TUBE CLIPS?

Does the whiz-bang ad agency have a second one in ready reserve?  Can't hardly wait for the NEXT one.

In the meantime, I am increasingly reluctant to even sign into my eBay account.   Good going, PR experts.

Showing a clip of Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock while playing that horrible HIPHOP music pisses me all the way off!!
I hate HIPHOP and rap with such intensity that whenever I see this ad pop up I turn the TV off completely! I don't even bother to mute it, I just don't want that noise to exist at all.
It's not music folks! It's just annoying noise, and I wish it would cease!

Damn, I was hoping for the Judas Priest's Come and Get It song, not this pop music crap.

That seems to be a running gag I run into with ads these days.
