I'm asking Santa for a Drone Defender this year.

I'm tired of the neighbors watching me masturbump at 4 in the morning.

Why go spend money on a drone for yer spermmistake?
Save yer beer $$$ and talk to yer wife - she doesn't need that 'toy' anymore - give it a new life!

If the drone doesn't have police markings, then it's fair game to shoot down if it flies over your property.    I'd use a crossbow firing ice;  It's cheap, and you don't have to worry about an arrow impaling something else if you miss.  Plus, if you shoot down an Amazon drone, you get to keep the stuff!  Big smile

I do not like the idea of drones for commercial use.
  • Imagine a jumbo jet sucking one or two into an engine on departure.
  • Think how much fun it would be to collide with a few while goofing in your ultra-light aircraft.
  • How about catching one in your cords or chute while skydiving?
    • Yea, sure, fun - you can 'cut-away' and ditch your mangled chut and land safely with your reserve, right? That is as long as you don't pick up even more drones.

However, I DO like MrT's idea of 'Droning For Fun & Profit': knocking them out with high-speed ice cubes, keeping the Amazon goodies you like, selling the ones you don't through your little Web-based retail organization hosted by Amazon.

The one I got is intended for indoor use. It fits in the palm of my hand. If I can't get to fly just think what would happen if you give one of these to to a child! Shocked It was a calculated risk, and I'm glad I did this. These things can be DANGEROUS if they fall in the wrong hands. Ouch

I'm the wrong hands.

Couple of things I won't do... concealed carry, and buy a drone.

I used to have a little AirHogs helicopter that fired little red "missiles", and I terrorized the animals with it. The dog thought it was funny, the cats... less so. It was pretty fun, but not very easy to control for good, clean shots. Imagine if I had something that could hover precisely.

Some guy in (I think) Kentucky shot down a drone over his property and had the criminal charges against him dismissed.  It appears that the drone flew over his property several times while his 17-yo daughter was sunning herself.  The judge noted that before throwing out the case.

(I looked into getting a crossbow, but the prices are comparable to firearms.  Might be cheaper to build my own... LOL )

You can get a pistol crossbow pretty cheap. I have one and it's fairly accurate... though I haven't made or tried ice bolts yet. Wink

Next time I see one on a deal I'll try and remember to post a link.

Absolutely not, they're legitimate and lethal weapons. Seems like I paid $20 for this (different site, same crossbow) 50 lb pull one:

Did you watch any of the videos that were thumbnailed at the end of that one?

This is great...

Nah. Just give him his Red Ryder AND a dildo attached to a drone. Just make sure to show him which end is which. It'll put a new spin on "you'll shoot your eye out".
