The 1/2 was a cat named Sneakers that belonged to the guy across the street, but which moved into my house about 2007 after his true owner got a second dog and Sneakers had apparently had enough.  He started visiting every day and then, one morning, I came downstairs to find him asleep on the couch.  He simply stayed.  I had little say in the matter.  LOL

So, he was really only 1/2 mine and 1/2 his.  He died, though, in 2013.
