I've only seen this commercial on MTV, but it is on ALL the time!

Spoiled 12-year-old girls spending their daddy's money on ugly Converse rip-off shoes! I absolutely loathe this commercial.

Geez, it's like a bad PowerPoint creation!
One good thing about TV-you could always turn it off

If you've ever been forced to watch any of those daytime kiddie/adolescent sitcoms, you'd see that they're all really bright and colorful.  They're practically like cartoons---'cept they're not.

This makes me sick! I am a godfather to a twelve year old girl, and we saw this ad the other night and she looked at me and simply cringed and said, "Why would anyone waste money on crap like that?", and I just shrugged my shoulders because I couldn't think of why someone would waste money on *%#* like that. Alas, I had to transport these pieces of crap to a store earlier today. I had just dropped off the trailer, and headed to the store to get some goodies. (Doritos and a Diet Pepsi.) As I walked past the shoe department a 13 year old and her friends were looking at those and getting all giggly about them. So, I walked over and said, "Nice aren't they." They replied, "Yeah." In response, I went on to say, "So, you're ready to be women, now!" They stared in shock and one said, "No." I replied, "You must be, buying heels at your young age, and thinking your Daddy is a Sugar Daddy." And they were surprised by my response and one got the nerve to say, "You will never understand, you're not a teenage girl." The others frowned, and called her an imbecile for saying that and I replied, "I may not be a teenage girl, but I'm not a dimwit. If I were you, I'd buy the ballet flats on sale, and stay away from those heels. You're not women yet, you're girls. So, stop acting like you're women, because you're not." The others replied I was right. But the one who didn't believe me thought I was stupid, but her friends told her to stop acting like an imbecile and just be sensible like them, because I was right and it's more important to enjoy your youth while you can, as opposed to rushing the gun to adulthood.
All it takes is one bad commercial, and you're off to CIH to share your distaste for the offending advertisement.

^  I've taken the opposite stance.  I was once with a woman and her 3 y/o daughter while she was shopping for shoes for the little girl, and the saleswoman came along and asked if we needed help.  I replied "Yeah.  Do you have any high heels for children?"
