I have seen people still wearing masks here in Wisconsin.

What do you think?

We followed the rules! We wore masks! We got the vaccine!

I am absolutely tired of being told what to do!

I cannot and will not wear a mask again!

As of right now, this pandemic is really only affecting unvaccinated individuals. I'm not really worried.

Some people are starting to wear masks again in Ohio. I haven't worn one since Gov. DeWine dropped the restrictions in June, except at doctor's offices. He currently has no plans to reinstate the mask order.

I'm still wearing a mask. God only knows what kind of a petri dish I'm walking into around here.

I believe we will be mandated to wear masks again.

We were so close, however, there are too many unvaccinated people out there.

With this new variant out there, I am fearful Canada will close its border again. Right now, only 4 airports are open in Canada, though more airports were scheduled to reopen August 9th.

Fingers crossed we get to go home to see Don’s Dad sooner rather than being too late…..

I have to see Gordon Lightfoot in Toronto in late November, so hopefully the border remains open by then.

Sundown and Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald are two of my favorite songs.

I used to (try to) play If You Could Read My Mind on the guitar.

Every year on November 10, certain friends and relatives try to be first sending this song out to everyone else.

Oh - Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald... That song.

That song's one of several songs I find too sad to listen to. The others are:

Mr Bojangles
Puff the Magic Dragon
Honey

I'm only a few hundred miles from Lake Superior.  The tragic story and the culture is burned into our minds.

What about Patches (Clarence Carter) and I'm Livin' In Shame (Supremes)?

Or this tear-jerker....

I think Dickie Lee's "Patches" is sadder. After finding out that the poor girl his parents forbade him from dating had committed suicide, Dickie plans to join her.

I think Puff's the saddest. Toy dragon gets abandoned by his best friend. 😥
