Cargurus smug a-hole, weird pronunciation (video)

Check out the smug-looking a-hole in this one. Makes me want to be sure not to check out Cargurus.

Also, what's going on with the pronunciation of "Cargurus" from the voice-over?? To me, that name, "Cargurus," is supposed to be a combination of "car" and "gurus." OK, so you would place the accents like this: "CAR-GUrus" or maybe "CAR-gurus." But the voice-over guy says "CAR-guRUs." Maybe he's recording his part from another part of the planet?

I dunno. I've heard guru pronounced with the accent on "ru".

At least here, it's sung like that:

You can barely make out the word 'guru' in that.

Sounds like they're just saying 'metal ru'.

Yeah, I've heard them come back on, too. Although the smug, smirking a-hole is gone, I now notice the mispronouncing voiceover guy not only emphasizes the wrong syllable of gu-RUs, he pronounces the "s" at the end like the "s" in "loose" (or "caboose" or "moose" or "juice" or "Belarus"). That's not American English.

"Car gu-ROOSE"

They must do this mispronunciation to catch people's ears, so we remember the name. Obviously it works, because it's a thread here on CIH.
