Saw it, was funny until the last part where the asteroid was proven to be harmless, nuts I was hoping for a big asteroid impact and I wish they kept it with the "partying since there's no tomorrow" theme. It would of stayed funnier in a dark comedy type of way. But I guess people would hate that since it's too depressing I guess. |

I liked the chick riding the telescope.
I wish they would have built the "telescope" a little more realistically. A one meter objective lens with a (what appeared to be) 5 meter focal length? What? If you don't want that lens shattering when the wind blows, its going to have to have a very slight curve so you would need a much longer focal length. The more dramatic the curve, the more light it gathers, and thus the shorter allotment for focal length is needed. It makes no sense to use a lens that big.
Most observatories use either a reflective telescope or a radio telescope. Refractors are too cost prohibitive. Totally unrealistic.
