Well aren't you just, though....

I'll be expecting a nice, fat doggie bag full of leftovers. Tongue

And maybe a monogrammed bathrobe of you can manage one.

If not, a couple of monogrammed towels will suffice. Thumbs UpWink

My 50th was a surprise party at my favorite Italian restaurant.  My bro (in NJ) and a friend (here) set it all up.  I was blown away when I entered the restaurant.  I was even more blown away when my bro and sis-in-law suddenly appeared standing in front of me...to "take my order".

It might've made more sense to me if everyone yelled "Surprise!" when I walked into the restaurant.  But they didn't.  They just sat there as my eyes looked down the tables at all the people who really had no business being there all together.  Many didn't even know each other.  In a way, they just made me figure it out for myself.  It took a long time for it to make any sense to me.

Part of what made the surprise work, was that it happened two weeks before my actual birthday.

What's really funny is, when I was little my Dad would take us on drives and when we drove by this hotel he would say, "only rich people can go in there" he was exaggerating, but this is an awesome place right near the ocean!

I was wondering how old the place was.

When I saw that it's either owned or operated by Marriott, I kinda figured that maybe it was a relatively new structure built to look like an old one.

As opposed to Joan Rivers, who's an old structure built to look like a new one.

Big smileHappy Birthday, Big Momma!
So glad to hear you are having a wonderful day ~ You deserve it, most certainly - You touch more people than You may realize.

~~~
What do you have to look forward to, You ask?
1.) I do not remember my 50th birthday. It was a while back, and things have gotten 'foggy', doncha know, cancha tell - but I'm not as old as Hooty.
2.) 'Stupid Things' start happening - for example, this morning I stepped into the shower BEFORE getting undressed, but before I tried to use soap (that may change in the future).
Imagine my surprise...
3.) 'Weird Things' find you easier...like my neighbor's just maturing male Golden Retriever...a nice dog, but yesterday, he kind of mistook me for a young lassie and I had to push him away (no, I did not beat him off). He then figured MissyDWolf would 'be nice' to him...I couldn't quit laughing.
Nice dog, but confused and kinda weird.
     MissyDWolf has people actually asking her "What COUNTRY do you come from?" a lot more often these days - don't know why it is happening so often, but when either of us asks a person WHY, more often than not, "...don't recognize your accent..."  is common. MissyDWolf has NO accent whatsoever. I've advised her to start telling people that she comes from Mars.
4.) 'Role Changes'...MissyDWolf has her stores and I tend to work from home more often. She bought me a stinkin' apron and gripes about the kitchen being dirty; I've griped about her missing dinner; she wants clean bathtubs, etc...but then again, she brings me dark chocolates and tries to take advantage of me - no flowers, yet.
Wish she would get around to fixin' the Blackillac, but noooo...she just lounges around on weekends, slouched in a chair, can-in-hand, soap operas a'blarin'...it gets really bad when she has her friends over for 'Saturday Soaps, Snacks, & Suds'...what a bunch of rootbeeraholics...
5.) 'Certain Things Have to Go'...like shoelaces and quick wits (although the first victim is usually the husband). I just don't like shoelaces, anymore - I even have taken them completely out of by boat shoes. MissyDWolf calls them my 'Jail Shoes' and is quick to educate the public (when I wear 'em in public ) about how nobody ever even gets into a 'holding cell', much less a real jail, with shoelaces because the guards don't want people hanging themselves. She then will draw attention to my shoes and say. "Just like that - SEE?!".
One time I made the mistake of explaining that I actually took the laces out a few years ago - she didn't waste a second - 'low-hangin' fruit'..."Yes, PaW - and the guards appreciate that - you have made their job that much easier - to them, you're 'special' , doncha know..."
By the way, have you picked out your toolbox yet, Big Momma? What color is it? What kind of clasps did you decide on? Please, oh please tell us more - The Inquiring Mindless Need to Know!Wink
Again...Happy Birthday, BM...and remember - to all of us, You are 'special'.
Believe me, there are so many wonderful things to look forward to on the Gradual Slide from Youth.
Confused"...eees 'dis Big Momma's Birthday Bash?"
