I don't think I've ever thought "I need a shave and I need it right now no matter where the hell I am".

I was gonna start a thread about all this Tac crap and that Nick Bolton block head, but I just couldn't drum up the motivation to do it.

Maybe I needed some kind of Tac energy pills to get me going.

And that Nick Bolton guy..... his head looks like it was carved out of a tree stump with a chain saw.

Worse yet, despite his phony, store bought camo outfit, he's never been in the military and never been in any kind of tactical situation where he would require tactical gear.

He's a personal trainer in Kansas City.

Probably trains guys like this....

I used to associate Bell & Howell with decent quality, a name that goes back 100+ years and cameras. Now it seems the name is just slapped on almost every As Seen On TV cheap slop.

Just saw this cheesy a** commercial for "ProductDirect," silly actors/family with the "super high quality face masks" made by Bell and Howell a "a brand you can trust!"

Are there really people in a clean room making these masks?? Eh, I highly doubt that.

I believe "Tac" is short for "Tacky".

Bell&Howell was once a respected company but around twenty years ago they were bought out, again and again, then mergers, now little remains but the name, owned by a holding company.  Sad.

(I was offered a job with them in '78 but opted for a position with Western Electric instead;  it too is now gone, disappeared in a series of mergers in the eighties and nineties, not even the name remains today.)

Given Madison Avenue's bent for blending words, I can imagine a cat teaser called Tactickle. (Speaking of cats, thank you again, Carol, for the eye bleach.

Love how they add in "military grade" as if they use special materials to build their garbage.  Even more annoying is that stupid guitar riff that's in the background in the commercials.

"There's nothing like it on the market today" because everyone already has a pen and a flashlight, and they rarely need to break windows of locked cars.
