Absolutely cannot stand the emphasis the narrator places on the "L" when she says, "bacon bowlllllll." Starts at 12 seconds and repeats with increasing obnoxiousness throughout the entire (lengthy) ad.

I really hate the fake, exaggerated CRUNCH sound that comes whenever someone's eating the bacon. It sounds like they are crunching on their teeth.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - bacon is gross. |

No one had mentioned in the previous threads how annoying the way she says "baycon boulllll" is.
It also bothers me how all these dumb mini-informercials have to rhyme everything. If it's a cleaning product, they'll say something like: "Cleans the shower, sink, and tub... with this product, you won't even have TIME to scrub!" Are people really stupid enough to buy this crap? Of course they can't resist once they DOUBLE THE OFFER!!! (Just pay additional processing and handling) In other words, pay for another one... |

Let me throw in my two cents on this stupid commercial that keeps showing up over and over and over. It looks like it takes at LEAST 4 slices of bacon to create that bowl. And in every frame, they show at least 3 bowls in front of someone. 12 slices of bacon in one meal? Good Christ, no wonder we're a nation of obese people. And that's not even including the fillings. Just watching that commercial makes my arteries hurt!

I agree that this ad is awesomely bad, from the concept to just about every aspect of the production. Ordinarily, I like bacon, probably too much, but the notion of baking a fistful of it into a dried shell and larding it up with "filling" is just…not appealing at all, under any circumstances. And we have this thoroughly obnoxious narrator burbling about what a wonderful, life-changing product this "booooouulll" is, all in that fake, enthusiastic Mommy-talking-to-a-roomful-of-toddlers coo. Can you imagine what the auditions must have been like?

Can't stand that sort of gushing-with-love kind of voice. I remember once being told by a that sort of voice in a phone recording to "Please hold. Your call is important to us". Talk about adding insult to injury! |
