Walmart decided to replace St. Pat's Day with "Diversity Day", in which people were encouraged to bring foods of their homelands to share with everyone.  These homelands would be mainly India and Puerto Rico, as those are the only employees who get into such things at all.

I don't know how it went.  I was busy working at the time.

I just wonder why they had to replace St. Patrick's Day rather than leave it alone, and have this "Diversity Day" some other day.

I had it done a few years ago and yes, it does take a few weeks to get back.  I think they know that the public only has a "live for the moment" mentality, so airing it 6 weeks beforehand probably wouldn't have the same impact.

Yea, that's what *I* wanted to do! Get drunk, let people paint my face green, donate some DNA (legally), and find out I'm originally from Nigeria.

Well, we do have some guy from Haiti (or the Dominican Republic or one of those God-forsaken 3rd World hellholes) who's into Santeria.  Dunno if he brought in any of his sacrifices.

World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development is annually held on May 21 to help people learn about the importance of cultural diversity and harmony. Walmart has no clue.

My point was if there is already a diversity day why would Walmart feel the need to replace St Patrick's day with a redundant one? Since "religion discrimination" is now being falsely claimed concerning non citizens/residents shouldn't Walmart be sued for legitimate religion discrimination against citizen/resident Catholics?
