I first learned about this place in the early 80s.  France Park in Logansport, Indiana.

An abandoned quarry with crystal clear water.  I doubt it is even allowed these days but we would jump off of these cliffs. 30 to 40 feet high!  Once you gathered the courage to jump, landing wrong does hurt!  The next challenge was climbing the side of this cliff...with wet hands and feet. Add a little alcohol and you have some serious good times.

I can't complain but sometimes I still do.

So, nobody went out and did crazy stuff? Yes!  You had to be strong to do this. Strong and a little crazy.

I'll never forget... This young redhead, and other places, decided to wear a bikini without doing the proper trimming.  There was bikini spiders hanging out all over the place. Tongue
I can't complain but sometimes I still do.

The Sears store I worked at in 1981 had a company picnic one day. They got a bunch of canoes on a big trailer rack and a bus. Hauled us a couple of hours drive to a place called Katie's Landing on the Wekiva River. Had lunch, went for a swim on the tree swing then got in the canoes for the river canoe trip.

At one point, we came to an old railroad trestle that looked to be about 30' above the water and took turns jumping off.

When I was a teenager, we used to surf in huge, frigid 8' - 10' swells that came down from the North Atlantic during the dead of January.

That was about as wild as we got.

Great news guys.... With the Air Hawk, flat balls are no longer a problem!!!
